Five Fact Friday ~ 03/26/10 {Lincoln,NE Photographer}

1. Had a pretty busy week. Shoot last Sat. & my grandparents anniversary party. Also had my nephew over night. Then I took the boys bowling Sunday & to the arcade. Then went to the circus AND dinner with the girls earlier in the week!

Hehe this pic is so CUTE! Both boys were being CLOWNS! ;)

2. This weekend I have no official plans besides watching the Huskers beat Oklahoma in baseball from the comfort of the company skyboxes!! We even got VIP parking passes! WOOT!

3. HOPEFULLY it doesn't get as cold as they are thinking this weekend because I sure am enjoying the nice weather! We even got bikes out yesterday and went for a little ride! Lovin' my new Trek bike gloves (and they match my bike!) :) AND had time to play at the park too yesterday evening! :)

4. My logo is getting closer to the final stages!! So excited! *screech* STILL have to get final colors picked out though (so hard to decide!)

5. New scrapbook paper line out called "mama-razzi." I'm thinking I need to make a trip to the scrapbook store! ;) Poor Xavier, whenever I have my camera out he starts singing Lady Gaga's Paparazzi song. lol

Bad News, Good News {Lincoln, NE Senior Photographer}

So the bad news is that the person who won half off a custom photography pre-prom shoot didn't have enough people to attend the shoot due to other obligations SO the good news is that the offer for 1/2 off a custom pre-prom photography shoot is now back up for grabs!!

*** I should mention that normal prices are only $10/person with 8+ people attending. So this 1/2 off shoot will literally only cost $5/person for the session fees!!!!! And I bring backdrops, lights, props all to you! You just provide the space! ***

I know this is pretty last minute but everything is ready to go on my end so if you have a group of 8 people or more and would like to start a pre-prom photography tradition (and be the envy of your school with amazing prom photos) contact me right away and we'll get things going. A new part that I have added is that the host has an opportunity to earn their session & their dates completely free and % off prints. ALSO guests will receive a special gift with any print order as well!

Remember, these are NOT the photos that you see AT the prom. These are fun and energetic. They show your personality and I promise their will not be one piece of white latice in any photo. ;)

Here are some samples of last year's pre-prom shoot for my adorable 'lil sis. This year I want some seniors who are going to get a little rowdy!

Family Sneak Peek {Lincoln, NE Family Photographer}

The moment I met this family I knew this shoot would be fabulous! The two adorable little girls came dressed to the T. Mom definitely has style. :) And those two little sweeties absolutely adore their daddy. To top it off mom brought a beautiful quilt that she made herself for the girls to use as a prop. Though this was little Cally's official first birthday shoot she was a tired little bug, but we got her through and got some great shots. So many great shots in fact that their sneak peek is a little larger than most. ;) They were all just so cute I couldn't help myself!
Enjoy! :)

Five Fact Friday ~ 3/19/10 {Lincoln, NE Photographer}

ONE first birthday shoot this weekend - keep your eyes out for the sneak peek later this weekend.

TWO more days until I get a preview of my of my potential logo designs. I can't wait to see what he has come up with! :)

THREE days that my little boy was sick this week. :( He's doing much better today after a tramatic ordeal with 2 nurses and a shot yesterday. Did you know that if you ham it up just right you can get 2 stickers, 2 toys from the bin, a monster truck, and a sucker for just one shot. ;)

FOUR new card templates that I made for pre-prom shoots this week.

FIVE ... ??? Well I guess I can't think of anything with five. ;) Happy Friday anyway!! :)

Five Fact Friday ~ 03-12-10 {Lincoln, NE Photographer}

1. We had a great time on our trip. I really didn't take too many photos but the hotel had a really great view of the Kansas City Plaza area …

2. So glad for spring, I'm just going to pretend it didn't snow recently. I'm so ready for photography season to get going! First birthday shoot next weekend, and in April our first pre-prom extravaganza!! :)

3. Also very exciting … the official TracyV Photography logo is getting closer and closer. Hopefully by the end of the month. I can promise you I'll be plastering that logo on everything!! VERY VERY EXCITED!!!

4. Two birthday parties for me this weekend! WOO HOO! I think my mom is on a mission to spoil me this year. Who says your mom can't spoil you on your 27th birthday?!?! ;) AND my MIL is making me her delicious sloppy joes, yummy!! :)

5. Speaking of birthdays, I usually start thinking about X's b-day party around June (his b-day is in Sept) lol it's just my nature … anyway, I heard about this really cool site for party planning and thought I would pass it on … www.hostesswiththemostess.com CUTE CUTE ideas! Unfortunately we're to the point where the only acceptable theme includes superheroes. ;)

Five Fact Friday ~ 3-4-10 {Lincoln, NE Photographer}

1. That's right getting my bags packed for my big birthday weekend in KC! Going to miss my little man like crazy this weekend. We'll both have lots of fun though. ;)

2. Working on getting all my pre-prom shoot stuff set-up. Working on some really cool invites and trying to have everything available electronically. :)

3. Looking at some cool new small album products that I want to offer when all the re-branding stuff is ready to go. :)

4. Also found another new product that would be wicked awesome for seniors:
"Aluminum Panel w/ Ice Block Stand – These aren’t metal prints. They’re aluminum panels with a poly-resin coating. The coating is clear, so when it bonds with the ink you can see the metal shine through which gives it a wicked 3-D look."

5. Saved the best for last ... a discount for sessions booked yet for March.

New portrait session fee structure

After gaining a little insight into the business and it's operations I have decided to change the session fee structure just a teensy bit. I will now be offering two different kinds of sessions so that I can continue to cater to the needs of each family that I work with.

The first is the session you have been used to. It is a full service session, basically everything you could want in a custom photography session. Lots of poses, clothing change options, proofs and lots of shooting/prep time. Because this is such a time consuming type of shoot it will now be charged at $80/session. Clients may want to choose this type of shoot for Senior, Newborn, Engagement, and 1st birthday incl. smash the cake photos. Also if you would like family photos in addition to in-depth individual child portraits this is a good choice.

I also know that you don't always have the need for a full service session. The mini session is a steal at just $40. For events like yearly children's photo shoots, 3-9 month sessions, or holiday card photos. This shoot includes the same talent, set-ups/props as before, up to one hour of shooting time, and approximately 15-20 proof images in an online gallery.

Please keep in mind that my session fees include all set up, tear down, clean up, shooting time, plus 1-2 hours editing for every hour of shooting, and time creating online galleries and uploading photos.

Slightly changing my session fee structure also allows me to do things like offer discounts on session fees during slower portrait seasons so that's exactly what I'm doing ... The first three sessions booked for March will receive $30 off a full session or $10 off a mini session!!
