Five Fact Friday ~ 2/26/10 {Lincoln, NE Photographer}

1. Seat heaters don't turn on with remote start - lame.
2. Something that's totally NOT lame … my husband is taking me on a nice weekend getaway to Kansas City next weekend! WOO HOO!
3. Tossing a couple ideas around in my head and would be curious to know what everyone thought... A. Real live Spring/Easter chick photo shoot. Minimal-no session fee for short mini session. B. Portrait parties. I would totally appreciate any comments, you can leave them on here, facebook, e-mail or call me!!
4. Got to have a night out with the girls last night! So much fun!!! ;) We definitely need to do it again soon! :)

It just isn't right to have a photography blog without some photography so here are some photos from our living room safari last weekend. :)

Five Fact Friday ~ 2-19-10 {Lincoln, NE photographer}

1. I knew it was Friday 'cause I'm happy BUT forgot it was "Five Fact Friday" so I'm gonna wing this thing! ;)

2. The fam and I had a b-day party for one of X's friends at ChuckECheese (aka GermECheese) and actually had a really good time. My boys are video game heads and I love shopping for little girl presents!!!! Everything pink and sparkly with hearts! :)

3. I'm so ready for summer and bike rides with my camera. It's all I can think about any more. I even bought my head and tail lights so I can go on the "nacho ride" this year. Though I'm a little afraid of my crazy biking husband who thinks he is ready for the BRAN (bike ride across Nebraska) this year … I know I'm not … 30 miles tops for me. ;)

4. I now have X hooked on Macy Gray since the discovery of my CD. Totally uncharacteristic of my little Black Eyed Peas fan. I know he's Marky's because he can actually carry a tune.

5. Went to Paint Yourself Silly with my sis and XO (yeah, his initials are XO on purpose, hugs and kisses, sure he won't be proud of that when he's 30 … or 12) ;) We had a blast! I LOVE that place! The staff is super friendly and we always have a really good time. I think I'm going to have MY birthday party there! ;) If you haven't been there already, check 'em out. http://www.paintyourselfsilly.net I always have a camera in my purse but the batteries were dead so here's some pics from my sister's phone. She's got great natural directional light on that 2nd one! :) Come to think of it this would be a GREAT place for engagement pics … any couples up for a little creativity?? ;)

Five Fact Friday ~ 2-12-10 {Lincoln, NE Photographer}

1.It's 11:27 (on Thursday - so technically it's a Five Fact Late Thursday Night) and I'm TIRED! Super long day finishing up kiddo Valentine's for his friendship party tomorrow, working on taxes, and getting everything finished up for X's class photos to share. So ... I apoligize for any spelling errors right now.

2.I've been in a serious scrapbooking mood ever since I got back from my 6 hour crop on Saturday. Which means our kitchen counter is a mess with scrapbooking supplies. Oh how I miss having a separate room for the clutter. I heart my Valentines this year. Check 'em out …


Xavier gave out Batman and Hot Wheels valentine cards this year. :)


3. I am very excited to give X his V-day gift even though it's not really THAT cool. He LOVES stuffed animals and had a favorite dog that was lost in the move (most likely in storage somewhere); luckily Walgreens doesn't really change their product from year to year and I was able to find another. When you squeeze it it barks "I WUF you. Woof. Woof." X and I always say that to each other now. :)

4. Got my family room photos. I tried to be cheap and have it mounted on backerboard instead of foam core … didn't work, they curve a little. Oh well, they still look cute and I know better now for next time. ;) Too tired to get off my toosh and take pics tonight ... sounds like a good thing to do this weekend. ;)

5. I really hope I can talk Marky into taking me to the Valentine's movie this weekend. … just me and my new closest 500 friends packed in a smelly theatre, it just wouldn't be the same to see it AFTER Valentine's day though. ;)

Five Fact Friday ~ 2-5-10 {Lincoln, NE Photographer}

1. It's snowing AGAIN! I think we had enough in Dec and Jan to last the rest of the year. I can't wait for spring!

2. It's here! My float wrap is here! :)I have some other new photos coming for my living room. I'll get some of those photos up too next week.




3. I have had a bad cold all week. Boo hiss. Luckily starting to feel much better today. :)

4. It's not only important to have yearly milestone photos of your kiddos; make sure to get YOUR camera out start shooting. Try getting down on their level to take photos instead of shooting down at them. Also, not every photo has to be a huge cheesy smile. In fact my favorite photos of X are when he is deep in thought or when he is playing and just being himself.

5. I'm looking forward to 6 hours of uninterrupted scrapbooking this weekend!! :)WOO HOO Mommy time!
