1st & 5th birthday sneak peek {Lincoln, NE children's photographer}

This month was Big Bro B and Little Sis M's 5th and 1st birthdays. :) What a couple of sweet sweet kiddos. They were SO much fun, especially B, who reminded me an awful lot of my own little 5 year old. :)

Little M had a good time but found me very boring. I could hardly get her to look at me no matter how many funny noises or games of peek-a-boo from behind the camera I tried. Luckily she LOVES her brother so I got some great shots with his help.

And let's not forget how much help mom was for this shoot. I don't get up from the floor very fast these days and she did a great job chasing and posing (as much as possible anyway) little M.

Also, just a reminder, only 2 sessions left between now and July 16th. After that I'll be on maternity leave for photos at least though the end of September.

Short and Sweet - Sneak Peek {Lincoln, NE Family Photographer}

This may have actually been the fastest shoot yet to date but regardless of the short time frame we were able to get some really great shots of this fun family.

I know that Baby C's shirt says I love my aunt but I am SURE that it really should say My aunt loves me. :) She's so sweet and adorable how could I not?!?!? She's a photographer aunt's dream come true! :)

10 pic Sunday ~ 2/27/11

So I'm getting a little (okay, a lot) emotional lately about my baby starting kindergarten this coming August.

I have MILLIONS of pictures of X but they never all get printed and even though I am an avid scrapbooker (at least I was until recently, I've lost my drive a little) I rarely take time to look through them. After editing a session from a recent first birthday shoot I decided to look through MY baby's pictures.

He's so big now! WWAAAAHHH!!! My point is get the camera out now, all of you moms! You may not have time now to sift through all the photos but in time you and your baby will really appreciate their existance.

First here is one of me that my dad (a pretty decent photographer himself) took. This just may be my favorite photo from my whole childhood. I am so glad that my dad took so many photos of me as a child! I LOVE them all!!

X will show all you babies how to do a REAL cake shoot! Cake is something he is definitely naturally good at. ;) I wish I knew of smash the cake photo sessions back then. :(







Even though most aren't the best pictures ever taken, I know that he will love and appreciate seeing pictures of himself growing up.

Had to sneak in one more that I found. A couple of friends that I have met since being married have wanted to see pictures of Mark and I when we were younger, especially since we got married so young and started dating in high school. I still have to find the one from Sophmore prom but this takes us back 7 1/2 years anyways. :) What a handsome devil I married. ;)

Five Fact Friday ~ 2/18/11 {Lincoln, NE Photographer}

I’mmmmm baaaccckkk!!! :)

I can’t decide if I have been THAT busy in my personal life or just still a little lazy since the holidays. Either way, I’m going to make an effort to get back on track. ;)

1. I had my first shoot since before Christmas a couple weeks ago. It was SO nice to be shooting again. (See her sneak peek below) The break was nice but I’m ready to get my camera out again, I missed it. Plus I have new photography gadgets and toys from Christmas that I’m really loving. :)

2. I haven’t even been extremely crafty lately but I did manage make these cute little Valentine gift bags for V-Day. Can you guess which one is for XO? J I also threw together some little Valentine candy wrappers and tags in Photoshop with my digital scrapbooking goodies. :)





My next big project, my cousin's bridal shower. LOTS of big plans!!

3. We went to Monster Jam again this year for XO. We had a blast and X even got to be a judge. He was pretty excited especially after he found out that we were going to Monster Jam and NOT Elmo’s healthy heros like we told him all the way there. So mean! ;)








4. Anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new little niece!!! Okay, well technically I have a couple months yet but she might show up a couple weeks early anyway. ;) YAY, a newborn session and I get to go hold her anytime I want (within reason of course.) :) I can’t wait to see my nephew become a big brother. He’s going to be really great at it! :)

5. LOVING this warm weather!!! We’ve already dragged out the bike, skateboard and tossed around the football. :) YAY Spring!!!

Little Miss Personality {Lincoln, NE Baby Photographer}

After almost 2 months away it was SO much fun to get back in the studio and shoot again. I really missed it!!!

When I looked through the session to decide which ones to use for the sneak peek I kept getting the song stuck in my head that goes "She's got personality, lots of personality." :)

We got a whole range of emotions from little Miss S during our one hour together. SO CUTE!!! :)
